In 2001 my partner and I went to South Africa for the first time and we completely fell in love with this beautiful country. We had to go back, we call it the African bug, and since then we spend a lot of time in the South African bush every year, the bush and the wildlife became our passion.
Neil Stuckenberg, as owner of the lodge which became our second home, taught us so much about the bush, its wildlife, and his knowledge of birds is awesome. Due to Neil's skills as a guide and ranger we had the most wonderful wildlife experiences and encounters with wild animals we will never forget. We also took advantage of Neil's knowledge of South Africa to visit other places.
We were very sorry to see Neil and his family leave South Africa and we miss the drives and bushwalks with him. Another skill of Neil and his wife, Melanie, is their hospitality. We came back to the lodge they owned every year because we felt so welcome. You come as guests but you leave as friends.
We wish Neil all the best with his new adventure, we are sure he will succeed.
